Cuttyhunk CAN Part Time Internships Program

​

For the third year ini a row,  we are delighted to offer internship positions.

As we develop programs, we will invite letters of inquiry to gosnold.cap@gmail.com
 

Successful candidates will ideally have the basic  traits and some ot the skills listed below.  
 

•  interest in climate change , sea level and temperature rise and environmental issues

•  love of Cuttyhunk

•  creative approaches
•  enthusiam to  publicize  CCAN programs and one of its core missions -  encouraging Gosnold-Cuttyhunk responsible environmental citizenship

•  strong written and spoken communication skills
•  collaboration skills as well as personal initiative

•  ability to research climate change information

•  Social Media savvy - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, 

•  familiarity with Cuttyhunk organizations (e.g. Cuttyhunk Yacht Club, Library, Historical Society, Shellfish Farms, Fishing Club, etc.)

•  basic design skills and knowledge of Canva or other simple graphics programs or willingness to learn.

 

Depending on the scope of projects, the successful candidates will:

•  work with public programs, 

•  assist with publicity and implementation
•  assist vermiculture and composting programs

•  assist with distribution of public information

•  help with coordination of public programs

Hours are flexible and can be combined with other on island summer employment.
 
Hourly wage is competitive
